Take a Closer Look
The Megastar AT05 Leg Extension & Curl Machine is engineered for lifters who demand accuracy, comfort, and adjustability in their lower body workouts. Designed to target the quadriceps and hamstrings, this machine provides smooth, joint-friendly movement for seated leg extensions and prone leg curls—all in a compact, user-friendly setup perfect for your home gym.
Leg Extension Curl Machine is a standalone leg developer with an independently adjustable seat + backrest for better alignment. Compared with bench add-ons, it offers more precise setup, smoother motion, and less wobble, especially at higher loads.
Plates are not included unless stated on the product page during a promotion. You can train with any compatible plates you already own.
The Leg Extension Curl Machine uses quality guide rods and pivot points to deliver fluid, controlled motion. Proper alignment (seat/backrest set-up and knee-to-pivot match) helps minimize joint stress. Start light, control the tempo, and progress gradually.
Yes. The adjustability + controlled path make it beginner-friendly and a good option for return-to-training under professional guidance. Always follow your clinician or coach’s recommendations.
The stable, space-efficient frame is designed for home loads. Use a flat surface (rubber mat preferred), center your body, and keep plates balanced to reduce rocking.

Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 21 reviews.
Low quality, the roller shaft needs to be thicker it bends . But excellent customer service .
I sent you a picture showing the large peg is not removable so you cannot do different leg extensions when you’re sitting and your video on YouTube does not show that so it’s misleading on when you do your leg extension when you’re sitting, laying down your belly, that’s OK
Received the Megastar AT05 couple days ago. This is a rugged well put together piece of equipment. Unusual for a few hundred dollars. First, let me start by saying the company's customer service is A+. I emailed their support and they always replied by that evening. Their courtesy I found unsurpassed. Secondly, the assembly pamphlet is extremely clearly marked step by step. With each step they have laid out what parts are needed for completing that step. In addition, all assembly nuts and bolts are laid out on a labeled cardboard sheet making it mistakeproof...see photo attached. I think this would stand up to commercial use. It accommodates standard and Olympic plates. Simply remove the outer Olympic plate sleeve held on with an Allen screw exposes a standard pipe for 1" plates. The only tweaks I might suggest would be the backrest having one additional adjustment forward to sit more erect and the seat having the adjustment in the front allowing the seat to angle upward from the front rather than the adjustment in the rear causing the seat to be adjusted downward as you're sitting on it. In conclusion, a well thought out machine and a super steal for the price!
Shipping for this machine came in a single box and everything was well packed. I'll be honest, assembly took me about an hour and a half. Some of the bolts needed a little effort to line up perfectly, but once it's all tightened, the machine feels very stable. The manual was clear, and I really appreciated the video guide link they included—it made a big difference. I’ve been using it three times a week for a while now without a single issue. It’s a solid investment that will definitely last.
If you’re training in a basement like me, this is money. Wide base feels planted, even on older floorboards under the mat. I use 2" plates; micro-loading with 2.5s keeps progress steady.
This machine is exactly what I wanted. I’ve been looking for this machine at a fair price, and this was it. The quality on this was very surprising. It’s similar to the ones at the gym, and has everything needed to use comfortably. The build didn’t take as long as I expected, but it was still something you need to put time away for. That was a workout in itself. But besides that, the instructions were fairly easy to follow.
I’ve been slowly building up my home gym and this was an essential piece to my collection. The build is nice and sturdy and given its price point I’m very happy with my purchase! It took me a while to build but that’s only because I tried to build it by myself. I’d suggest having someone else there to help with putting the parts together.
This thing is awesome. Was waiting for a solid price on a leg Extension for my home gym and this one came along at recommendation from a friend, so far so good.
This arrived quickly and exactly as shown. It works smoothly, feels solid and well built, and the features are easy to use. I’m especially happy with how reliable it’s been so far no glitches or disappointments. Great seller, great product, would buy again.
Purchased for home use. Fairly easy to assemble, I did it myself!
I am 5'5" and it works for me, but my husband is 5'11'' and has to scoot back really far to work for him. I am the main one using it so it's not a big deal.
High quality and works like it should!
Switching from extensions to seated curls takes under a minute. The motion is smooth as long as I line my knee with the pivot and snug the thigh pad. Way better than my old bench add-on.
I’ve had the AT05 for about a month now, and it’s been a game-changer for my workouts. I primarily use it for seated leg extensions and hamstring curls, and the difference is huge. I’ve noticed I can really isolate my quads and hamstrings way better than with squats alone. The machine feels incredibly solid, just like a commercial unit. All the pads and rollers are super thick and don't dig into my legs at all. For such a compact size, this thing gives you a lot of value and a serious workout.
The cushions and pads on this machine are thicker than I expected, which is a huge plus. They don’t pinch or slide around during my sets, and the handles are perfectly placed to keep me stable. As someone who trains alone, having those adjustable stops for safety gives me a lot of peace of mind. The frame is heavy enough that it doesn’t move when I’m loading plates, but it’s still compact enough to tuck into a corner of my basement. Honestly, a really well-built machine that focuses on comfort and security.
